Invitation to Apply for Position of
Chair/Vice-Chair
The JCEP Board of Directors invites interested candidates to apply for the positions of chair and vice-chair for the Galaxy III Conference. The theme has been chosen, the site has been named and now the time for beginning the planning is near.
The site of the third Galaxy conference will be Indianapolis, Indiana. The Extension system in Indiana is ready to serve as host for our third joint meeting. There will be five of the Extension professional organizations working together to put on an exciting professional development opportunity for their members. The Galaxy conference concept allows Extension professionals to gain from each other and provides an opportunity to work together for the benefit of all Extension.
The opportunity to provide the leadership for the next Galaxy planning committee is being offered to individuals who are up to the challenge. The specific responsibilities of the planning committee and for those in the leadership roles are clearly defined and are available on the JCEP website (http://www.jcep.org). The chair will provide leadership and coordinate the planning activities for a committee of thirteen other members, which includes the vice-chair, two representatives from each of the five participating organizations, a representative of ECOP and a representative from the host state.
